We use the Oculus PRO headset with our TACTSIM system. This is a wireless system without a transmitter and without a backpack. All software is incorporated in the VR glasses. This new headset enables eye tracking, AI and AR. This creates the possibility of having interactive 3D characters with facial expressions respond to verbal communication from the agents. This makes a reduction in violence possible. We also have the option to train with the interactive 3D characters in a complete VR environment or to project them in a real environment. E.g. in existing training rooms. We work together with Ghent University with a view to Integration into our system of behavioral analysis and ethnic profiling. This is to achieve de-escalation of violence, minimize it to the strictly necessary and possibly avoid (unnecessary) violence, We supply our TACTSIM system with an operator tablet to monitor image synchronization on screen. This image can also be cast on any large TV screen. There are 3 views possible and these can be shown simultaneously. 1. The user's view 2. the bird's eye view of how the user navigates the virtual space/environment 3. the image formed in real time by means of an external camera.µ The synchronization and playback possibility of these images makes it possible to make an evaluation by the Violence Management Specialist of the user both in the virtual world and in the real world. In principle, no laptop is required for our TACTSIM system. The system can also only work with VR glasses, without an operator tablet or laptop. Our basic package currently consists of GLOCK17 and SCAR with the option to perform all physical (safety) manipulations in VR as well as in real life. The initial basic package consists of the European Police Program (EPP) in which people can be educated, trained and evaluated completely in accordance with the GPI48. We have also already integrated the new evaluation process of the Police into our System. These are the new police evaluation Course 1, 2, 3 & 4 that will be integrated into all PZs in 2024. The evaluation of hits, misses and safety errors is done completely automatically. A printout of results is also possible. Learning the (safety) manipulations and tactical principles can be trained in separate modules. In the near future, the initial basic package will be expanded with PITTIP / AMOK with AI 3d Characters. We are also busy integrating TASER, baton and pepper spray.
